Not everybody wants the commitment of leagues but still want to play
matches. Every week there are several Organised Open Play (Oops)
sessions where Members are put into teams to play against others of
various skill levels. This enables the new joiner or Cygnet to meet more
people and hone their skills. For those who want a bit more edge,
Thursday evenings have the Spoons Ladder. An odd name for an
Oops but the season winner gets £100. The ladder scoring system
(see Club website), encourages Cygnets, as do the 7th and 13th prizes
of £50. Why not try either – or even both! Be daring!.
