Many of you may not be aware but the current Cygnets sessions are full to bursting and so the decision was taken to encourage some to move on. This is part of a concerted effort by the Bowls Committee to make more rink sessions available for roll-ups, competitions and the like.
Previously, Cygnets could stay Cygnets for two years; now they can only stay for two seasons. It was also noted that some Cygnets were attending all three weekly Cygnet sessions. Now they are asked to restrict it to two sessions a week.
Hence, more Cygnets will be looking to join league teams next season, so it would be good if team captains looking for new members to replace those that have moved on sought out Cygnets. Some are already being noticed by more forward-looking league team captains.
